Selena Gomez might be taking the news of Justin Bieber’s pending retirment a little heavily. According to People Magazine, Gomez has cancelled her upcoming Australian tour to ‘focus on herself’. The pop singer released a statement,
“My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them,” the singer says in a statement. “But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.”
Sources close to Gomez say there is nothing wrong and she’s doing great. She’s looking forward to spending time with her family around the holidays and take some time off work. She recently finished 55 dates across the United States and Europe in the end of November. Selena has been working nonstop since she was 15 and she really needs some time to recharge her batteries.
If this was Kanye we’d have a problem with it, but it sounds like Selena needs a break and she’s going about it the right way. Hopefully, it has nothing to do with Bieber!
