Both were working for the same company, and Brittany used to live at the Cross Creek apartment complex off Western Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States. 

As their office was due at 8:30 AM, Brittany didn’t show up, so Clark called his mother to check on her. 

Robin arrived at Brittany’s apartment and found her door unlocked. When she entered, she felt something different and wrong about the place. 

She didn’t move any further, came outside, and immediately called 911. As the operator picked up her call, she said that her daughter’s apartment door was trashed. 

During the conversation, the operator instructed Robin to go back to the apartment and check if Brittany was there. When Robin entered her daughter’s bedroom, she found Brittany’s n*ked dead body lying on the floor. 

A pool of blood surrounded her dead body, which was a terrifying moment for Owens. As per the reports, she was choked to death, and two stab wounds were found on her neck, causing her to lose more blood. 

Brittany Eldrige Autopsy Report

After the incident, Brittany’s dead body was handed over to the Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause of her death. Her medical report was not immediately shared.

After the Medical examiner released the report, it showed that Brittany had been dead for more than twelve hours. 

According to her autopsy report, she had bruises on her chest and head. There were major injuries on her throat as that area was stabbed and choked. Her cause of death was officially written in the autopsy report, which was “died due to strangulation.”

Brittany was pregnant at the time of her murder, and her son died simultaneously. Her son’s cause of death was listed as intrauterine asphyxia, and his death alongside his mother was a homicide.

Police Investigation Of Brittany Eldrige Murder Case

After police received news about the death of Brittany Eldrige, they went to her apartment for investigation. During the investigation, they found no signs of forced entry as the door’s lock wasn’t broken, but the scene inside the apartment looked like an attempted Burglary.

As Norman heard the news about his girlfriend’s death, he immediately rushed to her apartment. When he reached, the police took him under interrogation. 

Robin was asked to tell Norman’s behavior towards his girlfriend. To this, she replied that he was kind initially, but after he heard that Brittany was pregnant, he would argue with her. 

Norman said that he wasn’t present at her apartment on 12 December, which is the same night, the police believed she was murdered. He admitted that he had argued with her and didn’t respond to Brittany’s texts. 

He also said that he wanted to meet his girlfriend on the night of 12 December, but instead, he went home. He said that later the night, he went to Leann Hawn’s home, and the police found that Norman was dating several women.
